Second Prize winner at Windsor Festival International String Competition

Jonian-Ilias Kadesha won the Second Prize at Windsor Festival International String Competition. He convinced the international jury during the final concert on March 17 with Helena Winkelman's Ciacconna for Violin solo and Maurice Ravel's Violin sonata No. 2. First Prize winner was the violinist Nathan Meltzer from the USA.

The world-renowned biennial competition, which is open for the instruments violin, viola and cello, takes places at Windsor Castle. In 2017, the eight semi-finalists were chosen out of 170 applications from 44 countries.
